Since 1998, ICE has been engaged in an extensive development effort with leading providers of products, services and technologies for single
nucleotide polymorphism, or SNP, scoring and genetic diversity analyses. Currently, in an outsourcing arrangement, our engineers are assisting with the
development of proprietary SNP analysis technology for SNP instruments and SNPware consumables that rapidly generate highly accurate, cost effective
SNP information. The software works with analysis equipment that is usable in environments ranging from small-scale laboratories to large commercial
facilities.
Our familiarity and skills in this area include a deep understanding of genetics and bioinformatic operations, sequence analysis and alignment, and tools to
access the public genomic databases (BLAST).
In addition, ICE is assisting with software solutions that provide high throughput SNP scoring services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic
customers, and DNA testing that conduct paternity, forensics and clinical pharmacogenetic testing.
ICE has also assisted with the development of content-rich SNP databases.
Our aim is to assist our biotechnology customers to develop genetic diversity technologies, products and services for genetic biochemistry applications.
Specifically, this includes software tools that support genetic diversity products, scoring single nucleotide polymorphisms and microfluidics technologies
that are used in drug discovery, principally in the field of pharmacogenetics and DNA synthesis.
Genetic diversity information is used by the pharmaceutical and medical communities to facilitate the development of highly specific and efficacious drugs,
to improve the effectiveness of existing drugs and to increase the likelihood of success of tissue transplants.
ICE has also assisted its clients to develop proprietary technologies that are used in other commercial applications outside the healthcare field including
forensics, and paternity testing.
