ICE ExPress is an  Adobe Acrobat plug-in to insert and edit images within PDF documents. It can be used as a productivity enhancement tool by Prepress Professionals.

ExPress will only work with Adobe Acrobat and will not work with Acrobat Reader. Presently ExPress only works in the Microsoft Windows environment.

ExPress supports image file formats such as TIFF, JPEG, BMP and PNG.

ExPress supports compression of image data using various Adobe Acrobat supported formats. It supports formats like Run Length Encode (RLE) , DCTDecode (JPEG), FlateDecode (ZIP), CCITTFaxDecode Group 3 and 4 for Bilevel TIFF images. Down sampling of images can be used to reduce the size of image data.

ExPress provides color space conversion and supports color spaces like Device RGB, Device Gray , Device CMYK , Calibrated RGB, Calibrated Gray, Lab, ICC Based and Indexed color spaces. ExPress allows color conversion using ICC Profiles. RGB to CMYK conversion and from any color space to Grayscale is possible.

ExPress also provides basic image manipulation features such as changes in orientation, translation, rotation, mirroring, skewing and scaling of images. It also allows cropping of images.

ExPress also offers an option for Batch Processing in which color conversion, compression and down sampling can be done on more than one PDF file as a single process.

ExPress provides an Undo option for reverting back any changes made to the image. The Undo and Redo menu in Acrobat allows the user to undo and redo any changes while the ExPress tool is active.

Certain features have been disabled in the Demo version. These features are available when the software is purchased.
